Hi and welcome to Clayburn Copperworks. Established about 18 years ago, Clayburn Copperworks started as a custom shop doing all sorts of coppersmith type work from copper roofs to counter tops. Over the years, it’s morphed itself more towards the art side of copper. My shop produces many out door pieces for gardens including fountains, out door lighting and a whole range of things to add to any gardeners or home owners imagination. Our main focus now though is on creating works of art. Over the past several years we’ve been chosen to produce sculptures for both private collections and for city’s alike. I also create large and small wall hangings as well and they too are collected by clients across Canada and recently, Europe. I  also accept both custom work as well as commissions. Jim Unger is a primarily self taught artist living and working in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. He came upon the world of copper working thru his long career in the cabinet making industry. A chance project that required a bit of copper sent him on his way to a new direction and a new way of thinking about things. Both in the wood working world and the art world, a strong work ethic are needed to succeed as well as the ability to create things with your hands. His work has evolved over the years from simple garden objects to large sculptures and contemporary works of art.
